Prepare
Are you ready?
What will you do if you can’t return to your home after a fire or flood? How will you reconnect with your family if you become separated following a major disaster? Do you have the right items in your disaster kit? These are questions you need to be able to answer.
The American Red Cross in New Mexico and its office locations throughout the state are committed to helping you, your family, your child’s school and our community to be prepared to respond in emergency situations. We have developed many strategies to help you get ready. We’re asking you to make it a priority.
The Red Cross Ready preparedness initiative focuses on three simple steps: Make a Plan, Build a Kit and Be Informed. To learn more, please click here: Free Red Cross Ready online training.
Your local Red Cross also offers preparedness programs to get all members of our community ready for a disaster or emergency. The Red Cross can bring disaster preparedness training directly to your workplace or community organization with on-site training or you can come to us. Plus, we’re dedicated to keeping New Mexico safe in and around water through water safety training programs, CPR training and community education.
