Community First Aid and Safety       $55

                 

This teaches individuals and families how to respond to emergency situations; how to care for an

infant, child or adult with respiratory or cardiac problems; and how to give CPR as well as basic first

aid. (Break - 12 noon - 1 PM)

Adult CPR/AED     $40

                 

This course trains individuals to recognize the signs of a heart attack and provide care for an adult

who stops breathing, is choking or whose heart stops beating.  This course also provides Auto-

mated External Defibrillator (AED) training - a proven lifesaving tool when deployed correctly and

early on after the onset of cardiac arrest

                  Teaches the basics of wound care, bleeding control, bandaging.  Also provides information about poisoning, sudden illness, and how to care for other injuries.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer       $80

                 

This course teaches professional rescuers to respond to respiratory & cardiac emergencies in infants, children and adults; teaches specialized skills needed by the professional.  Two person rescuer, CPR, AED with pocket mask, and BVM.

The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Program is to give the individuals in the Workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for

injuries, sudden illnesses and cardiac arrest until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Sports Safety Training for Athletes & Coaches     $45

                  This course, developed in collaboration with the US Olympic Committee, is specially designed for athletes and coaches. The course instructs participants in ways to prevent injuries and help prepare athletes before, during and after sports activities. Participants will also receive first aid training, adult CPR training and child CPR training.

Pet First Aid Training       $40











                  Teaches individuals how to care for a dog or cat incase of choking, cardiac arrest, bleeding, broken bones, poisoning until you are able to get them to a veterinarian.

Disease Prevention and HIV Education      $12











                  This OSHA compliant course trains individuals regarding safe workplace practices, to report and follow-up on employee exposures to infectious materials, to reduce the number of exposures to blood borne pathogens such as Hepatitis B virus and HIV.  Also provides community prevention skills.

Emergency Response Course        $250










This course includes the following:

  • Spinal injury management

Multi-Discipline Instructor's Course       $300











                  This course trains participants to become instructors in Community First Aid & Safety, Workplace CPR/AED/First Aid, and Workplace Safety Training modules.  An application process is required before student can be accepted.  A skills challenge and a written evaluation must be passed prior to entry into the instructor training course.
